i am starting to write in this journal as I just yesterday met up with friends from college and was shocked at their attitude and thoughts about life-- we're 4 years out (well 4.5yrs for me) and they're stuck.
Driving home from the city I thought about how the qu'ran says your friends should be those of the book...other muslims. It makes total sense to me...why have a good friend who doesn't have the same values as me, who in turn has gay friends, or lives with a boyfriend that is contemplating breaking up with him. sigh...unfortunately coming out of college I only made 1 muslim friend, and I super glad that I have her at least.
so, in this journal i will talk about one's quest for truth, and hope that those that ever stumble upon my words nod to themselves and understand that the only way is Islam.
inch'allah i'll be able to grow as well through this process...
